Govinda is on cloud nine. And why wouldn’t he be? His latest flick Ganesh Acharya’s ‘Money Hai Toh Honey Hai’ is on the verge of release. And to top it all the king of comedy has bagged a Mani Ratnam film. The actor has been signed for a pivotal part in the Abhishek-Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starrer that will go on floors by the year-end.Govinda who’s currently nursing his daughter Narmada after her facial surgery, expresses deep gratitude for being presented with a second innings as an actor. The hero who had almost disappeared from the scene has no inhibitions to confess that it was his friends in the industry including Salman Khan who pulled back from the doldrums.
Expressing his happiness over being roped in by Ratnam, the actor reveals that the Mani Ratnam film will not have him doing comic sequences. “Instead,” he says, “Mani is making an intense film. My role will definitely surprise people.”
